For over 50 years, the Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago produced oversized cards which were sold in penny arcade vending machines. The cards, which always measured 3 3/8 inches by 5 3/8 inches, featured black and white or tinted photos on the front and usually had cream colored blank backs. Many of the earlier issues had post card backs and during there last few years of operation they switched to a bright white stock. They covered many subjects from sports figures, movie and radio stars, band leaders etc. to sports cars, airplanes and astronauts. The designs changed over the years, but they were generally simple: no border, and the subject's name. Sometimes it was type set, other times it was in script.
